    Time efficiency of catch landing using Sondong catcher at fish landing base Dumai City, Riau Province

    Efficiency is important in landing with the aim that the catch as soon as possible reaches the hands of consumers in good quality condition. Sondong fishing gear is a type of active fishing gear with an application process that is not too long so it is useful for maintaining the quality of shrimp because shrimp have organoleptic properties that rot quickly. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency level of landing time of catches using sondong fishing gear at the Fish Landing Base, Dumai City, Riau Province. The research was carried out at the Fish Landing Base, Dumai City, Riau Province, from June 5-25, 2021. The material in the research object was a sondong fishing boat, while the equipment needed was stationery, a stopwatch, a camera, and a laptop. The data collected are basic data, namely unloading time, effective time, wasted time, and supporting data, namely fleet size (GT), number of fish landed (kg), number of unloading personnel (people), and age of activity actors (years). The efficiency of the landing time of the catch using sondong fishing gear at the fish landing base in the city of Dumai is classified into the less efficient category, while the factors that influence fishing productivity are fishing experience, crew, and fishing time

    Common gauge origin of discrete symmetries in observable sector and hidden sector

    An extra Abelian gauge symmetry is motivated in many new physics models in both supersymmetric and nonsupersymmetric cases. Such a new gauge symmetry may interact with both the observable sector and the hidden sector. We systematically investigate the most general residual discrete symmetries in both sectors from a common Abelian gauge symmetry. Those discrete symmetries can ensure the stability of the proton and the dark matter candidate. A hidden sector dark matter candidate (lightest U-parity particle or LUP) interacts with the standard model fields through the gauge boson Z', which may selectively couple to quarks or leptons only. We make a comment on the implications of the discrete symmetry and the leptonically coupling dark matter candidate, which has been highlighted recently due to the possibility of the simultaneous explanation of the DAMA and the PAMELA results. We also show how to construct the most general U(1) charges for a given discrete symmetry, and discuss the relation between the U(1) gauge symmetry and R-parity.Comment: Version to appear in JHE

    Zinc and Copper Levels in Patients with Primary Hypertension and Normotension

    One of the causes of primary hypertension is an exposure to free radicals. The formation of free radicals in the body can be prevented by taking antioxidants. Zinc and copper are cofactors of endogenous antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase. This study aimed to analyze the differences of zinc and copper levels in primary hypertensive and normotensive patients. This was an analytical observational study with cross sectional design and simple random sampling method. Subjects were patients aged 40-70 years at Haji General Hospital consisting of 15 primary hypertensive patients and 15 normotensive individuals (comparison group). Data was collected through interviews and laboratory test of blood samples. Zinc and Copper serum concentrations were measured by AAS. Data were analyzed by chi-square and independent samples t-test. The results showed that the mean levels of zinc and copper in primary hypertensive patients was lower than normotensive. However, statistically there was no difference in zinc serum levels (p=0.852) in the two groups, and there was a significant difference in copper serum levels (p=0.032). It can be concluded that there were differences in copper serum levels between the two groups but not with the levels of zinc

    Riau Malay songket woven in Dumai City is a traditional cloth Melayu Riau Riau Malay cultural heritage. Current issues Malay songket weaving is not widely known outside the community of Riau, this study aimed to describe the Riau Malay songket woven In Kota Dumai which includes the type of thread, color, dye and dyeing yarnThe method used is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data in this study is done by using observation, interviews and documentation. Source of data taken is shaped notes both written and non-written (recorded) derived from informants who were interviewed, documentation, literature study. Furthermore, the data reviewed and analyzed by the steps of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Data validation was done with the extension of observation, increase persistence and triangulation.The results showed that the type of thread used to weave songket in Kota Dumai Riau Malay is cotton yarn (CSM) with an assortment of colors, embroidery thread and gold thread for motives. Riau Malay songket woven color in Dumai city which initially predominantly use original colors (red, yellow, green) has developed into unlimited colors, so that the use of color today are very diverse. Dyes used for dyeing yarn dye is artificial (synthetic). Substances in the form of powder or powder color is called dye procion. Natural dye is not used as a reason for the creation of a long natural dyes and natural dye material limitations that exist. The process of yarn dyeing yarn bleaching done in advance, after the bleached yarn dyeing yarn made into a synthetic dye.

    Tindak pencurian sering kali terjadi dilingkungan yang padat penduduk. Penghuni rumah tidak dapat memantau huniannya secara efektif sehingga menimbulkan rasa kekhawatiran. Tidak adanya sistem keamanan yang memberikan informasi secara langsung kepada penghuni rumah. Menghasilkan sebuah perangkat keamanan kamar kos yang mampu mendeteksi gerakan manusia, buzzer memberikan peringatan berupa suara dan telegram sebagai notifikasi serta dapat dikelola secara mandiri oleh penghuni rumah. Untuk mendapatkan hasil seperti yang diinginkan dalam perancangan prototipe sistem keamanan rumah berbasisinternet of things menggunakan sensor passive infrared receiver dengan ESP32-CAM dan telegram sebagai notifikasi ini tentunya membutuhkan beberapa komponen penunjang dalam proses pengerjaannya. Dengan menggunakan sistem keamanan rumah ini dapat mengurangi tindakan pencurian yang sering terjadi di rumah dengan pemanfaatan sensor PIR. Penghuni dapat memantau rumahnya pada saat meninggalkan huniannya dengan sistem keamanan yang dapat dicontrol melalui aplikasi telegram. Perancangan IoT sistem keamanan rumah menggunakan sensor PIR dapat mendeteksi gerakan lalu buzzer bertindak sebagai alarm, informasi berupa notifikasi akan diteruskan kepada penghuni melalui aplikasi telegram. Untuk peneliti berikutnya dapat menggembangkan kamera yang dapat mendeteksi wajah (face detection) dan pengenalan wajah (face recognition).     In order to protect the church from the misuse of scripture promoted by heretical movements, early church fathers advanced hermeneutical mechanisms of control to guide biblical interpretation, which included forms of authoritative hermeneutics. The present investigation describes and briefly analyzes occurrences of these forms in Irenaeus and Tertullian, focusing on the concepts of the rule of truth/faith and church authority. The conclusion of the article highlights inadequacies of authoritative hermeneutics

    Spatial Resolution of Double-Sided Silicon Microstrip Detectors for the PAMELA Apparatus

    The PAMELA apparatus has been assembled and it is ready to be launched in a satellite mission to study mainly the antiparticle component of cosmic rays. In this paper the performances obtained for the silicon microstrip detectors used in the magnetic spectrometer are presented. This subdetector reconstructs the curvature of a charged particle in the magnetic field produced by a permanent magnet and consequently determines momentum and charge sign, thanks to a very good accuracy in the position measurements (better than 3 um in the bending coordinate). A complete simulation of the silicon microstrip detectors has been developed in order to investigate in great detail the sensor's characteristics. Simulated events have been then compared with data gathered from minimum ionizing particle (MIP) beams during the last years in order to tune free parameters of the simulation. Finally some either widely used or original position finding algorithms, designed for such kind of detectors, have been applied to events with different incidence angles. As a result of the analysis, a method of impact point reconstruction can be chosen, depending on both the particle's incidence angle and the cluster multiplicity, so as to maximize the capability of the spectrometer in antiparticle tagging.Comment: 28 pages, 18 figures, submitted to Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research
